![]() Mount Rainier "The most majestic solitary mountain I had ever yet beheld." --John Muir, Naturalist and Author The Summit-Waller community is located in unincorporated Pierce County between the growing cities of Tacoma and Puyallup (area map). The community exists as a "rural separator", which is defined by its one-of-a-kind land use zoning specifying a minimum 2 1/2 acre residential building lot sizes. Despite the area's rural nature, residents measure travel time to major highways in minutes (choosing from SR 512, SR 167, Interstate 5 and SR 7). The major shopping and employment areas of Tacoma and Puyallup lie less than 10 minutes away; the attractions of Seattle can be reached within about 60 minutes; and the state capitol, Olympia, is less than 30 minutes away. |
